2019 BMW 6-Series

The BMW 6-Series is expected to see no major changes for the 2019 model year. Since the 2-door Coupe was stopped last year, the lineup includes a 2-door Convertible, a 4-Door Gran Coupe and a 4-Door Gran Turismo with wagon-like styling.

2019 BMW 6-Series Design

The makings follow current reports around a sleeker and sportier design of the popular high-end tourer. The new 6er is stated to have a more vibrant roofline than the present model and shallower glasshouse. A few of the streamlined style hints seen on the 4 Series Coupe are an inspiration for the larger two-door model with a stretched roofline which puts the C-pillar just behind the rear wheels and allows a brief rear overhang. Some recommend it will have the visual dynamics of an Aston Martin.

Front kidney grilles revealed here are upturned as a reverse from basic BMWs. The headlights take an ultra slim shape with laser lights incorporated while the taillights are sleeker and bigger. Side air breathers and big air consumptions are an extension of BMW’s present design, together with a lot of chrome aspects for a more elegant appearance. The new 6 Series will go on a diet plan for an overall weight conserving of around 200 kgs. The rear axle originates from the new 7 Series, however xDrive all-wheel drive will continue to be provided. The 6 Series household remains in the conventional mix of material roofing system convertible, coupe and a four-seater Gran Coupe.

Under the hood, specs for the 6-Series are expected to continue with no significant changes. For reference, the existing 640i comes geared up with a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine rated at 315 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. The 650i features a 4.4-liter V8 that produces 445 hp with 480 lb-ft. Although engine stats for the Convertible and Gran Coupe are similar, the Gran Turismo is just available in all-wheel drive and includes a 3.0-liter engine that makes 335 hp and 332 lb-ft. 2019 BMW 6-Series Pricing & Release Date

The 2019 BMW 6-Series is due to start production in March. We presently anticipate an arrival date at dealers sometime early this summer season. Complete pricing for the 6-Series lineup has not yet been launched at the time of this writing. However, we do have costs for the Gran Coupes.

The 2019 640i Gran Coupe will start at $82,495 including a destination charge of $995. This represents a modest $100 boost over the previous year. Next up, the 650i Gran Coupe has been priced from $94,095. Choosing all-wheel drive includes $3,000 to either vehicle’s MSRP. For those trying to find something new, it’s worth keeping in mind that BMW plans to restore the 8-Series to take on vehicles like the Lexus LC 500. A performance-oriented M8 could be coming too.
